A devastated prospective female second lieutenant was told by her soldier husband that he was deployed to the frontline in Ubon Ratchathani. She brought their child from home to surprise him, but he ignored her. Eventually, she discovered he was secretly keeping a mistress and has hired a lawyer to sue both of them.
On 8 Jan 2026 GMT+7, a prospective female second lieutenant from Loei Province filed a complaint with reporters after her husband, a corporal stationed at Military Circle 18 in Saraburi, registered as her spouse, claimed he was deployed to the frontline in Ubon Ratchathani but ceased contact with his wife and child. She later found out he had a mistress and has appointed a lawyer to sue both her husband and the mistress.
The prospective second lieutenant recounted that in August 2025, her husband was called to support operations at the border in Ubon Ratchathani. After one month, he took seven days leave to return home, then went back to Ubon. By mid-October 2025, they had a small argument, and feeling hurt, she asked for a separation. Seven days later, her husband said their relationship would never be the same. After that, he rarely contacted home or spoke to their child as before, citing limited free time and claiming to be stationed deep in the forest frontline.
On 3 December 2025, the husband said he had left the forest and took their 1 year 11 month old son to Ubon Ratchathani to surprise them. They stayed together one night, but the next morning he ordered her to take the child home, claiming he had to return to the forest. Once back in Loei, he fell silent and did not call to check if they arrived safely, raising her suspicions. She returned with their child to see him again on 5 December, which was Father's Day, but could not reach him. Later, she learned he was on leave but did not contact his family. She rented a dormitory to wait for him, but within a month met him only once. Then he blocked her phone number and Facebook, making further contact impossible.
Subsequently, a well-wisher sent her messages and a video clip showing her husband with another woman on social media, confirming her belief he had a mistress. She later learned that the mistress was also involved with another military officer.
On 5 January 2026, her husband's senior relatives came to their home to inquire about the situation. She told them her husband had another woman. The relatives said her husband no longer wanted her but intended to take their child. She refused to accept this and would not agree to a divorce. She said she has no objections to a divorce but wants to sue both her husband and the mistress first. She has appointed a lawyer to file lawsuits against both. Today, she plans to take her child to file a complaint with her husband's commanding officers at Military Circle 18 in Saraburi.
