Nietsoc clarified that the Grade 6 O-NET mathematics test image widely shared online is not the actual exam for the test scheduled on 31 Jan 2026. They emphasized their strict standards ensure no exam leaks and threatened legal action against those who distort information.
On 9 Jan 2026, the National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Public Organization), or Nietsoc, posted a statement on Facebook clarifying the facts about the “Grade 6 O-NET mathematics test image to be used in the exam on 31 January 2026,” which bore the logos of IPST and Nietsoc. This image and messages offering the exam file have been widely shared, causing public confusion and questions about whether it is the real exam.
Regarding this matter, Nietsoc explained that the test shown is not the one for the 31 January 2026 exam. Nietsoc follows strict national testing standards covering all stages, from test creation and administration to answer sheet checking and result announcement. They also conduct regular audits of these processes. Therefore, they are confident that exams administered by Nietsoc cannot be leaked or compromised.
However, after conducting the exam and announcing the results, Nietsoc will publish the test papers used on their website for public access free of charge. These can be used for studying past exam questions or as teaching guides.
Additionally, Nietsoc emphasized that falsifying or falsely claiming exam content, causing confusion or undermining the credibility of national testing standards, is illegal. Should such incidents occur again, Nietsoc will strictly pursue legal action.
