
The Commander of the 1st Army Region is monitoring progress on troop deployments and the construction of bunkers and strongholds to prevent sovereignty incursions in the Ban Nong Jan border area of Sa Kaeo Province, while also praising and encouraging the personnel.
On 10 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Lieutenant General Worayut Luangsuphan, Commander of the 1st Army Region and Chief of the 1st Army Region Operations Center, visited the operational area at Ban Nong Jan, Non Mak Mun Subdistrict, Khok Sung District, Sa Kaeo Province. He was accompanied by Major General Benchaphon Dechatwong Na Ayudhya, Commander of the 2nd Infantry Division and Commander of the Eastern Task Force, and Colonel Chainarong Kasee, Commander of the 12th Infantry Regiment and Commander of Task Force 12.
The Commander of the 1st Army Region and Chief of the Operations Center received a briefing on the deployment strategy of Task Force 12, including patrols and reconnaissance to prevent sovereignty violations and ensure the safety of residents along the border. He also followed up on the progress of bunker and stronghold construction and provided policy guidance while encouraging the troops who have been working diligently and to their full capacity.
Furthermore, the Commander expressed appreciation and gratitude to personnel at all levels for their vital role in defending sovereignty in the operational area at Ban Nong Jan, Sa Kaeo border. He stressed the importance of personnel conducting their duties with caution, as well as carefully monitoring and assessing the situation to minimize any impact on border communities.
