Tragic Accident in Nakhon Si Thammarat: Pickup Truck Speeding Collides with Motorcycle, Killing Three

In Nakhon Si Thammarat, a speeding pickup truck crashed into a motorcycle ridden by a husband and wife, resulting in three deaths.

At 16:00 on 11 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Col. Chaiphat Srireuang, superintendent of Tham Phannara Police Station in Nakhon Si Thammarat, received a report from investigators about a collision between a pickup truck and a motorcycle on a road in Village 9, Tham Phannara Subdistrict, Tham Phannara District. Two people were confirmed dead and one critically injured. He, along with emergency doctors from Tham Phannara Hospital and rescue workers from Pracharuamjai Foundation, rushed to the scene.

Upon arrival, they found a black Honda motorcycle, license plate 2 ฒ-9616 Nakhon Si Thammarat, lying wrecked in the middle of the road. Nearby, a black Toyota pickup truck, license plate ชษ-9048 Bangkok, was also badly damaged on the roadside.

The deceased at the scene were Mr. Sitthisak Sarungkar, 26, and Mrs. Juthamat Saengravee, 23, husband and wife. The critically injured was Mr. Nut Kaewphan, trapped inside the pickup truck. Rescue workers took him to Tham Phannara Hospital, but he died shortly after arrival, becoming the third fatality. Relatives at the scene were grieving intensely.




Investigations revealed that before the accident, Mr. Sitthisak and Mrs. Juthamat, who had a young child, were riding the motorcycle together. When they reached the accident site, the pickup truck driven by Mr. Nut lost control while speeding and violently struck the motorcycle, destroying it. Mr. Sitthisak and Mrs. Juthamat died instantly. The pickup truck overturned, causing Mr. Nut to be critically injured before dying at the hospital.

Authorities are continuing to investigate to gather evidence and will proceed with legal actions accordingly.
