During 12–18 Jan, temperatures in upper Thailand will rise by 3–6 degrees Celsius with morning fog and some thick fog in certain areas. Cold to chilly weather will persist in the North, Northeast, and Central regions due to weakening high-pressure or cold air masses covering upper Thailand and the South China Sea. From 15–17 Jan, a westerly wind wave from Myanmar will move over the upper North, upper Northeast, and upper Laos, causing light rain in some areas.
For the South, there will be isolated thunderstorms in the lower part due to the northeast monsoon covering the Gulf of Thailand, the South, and the Andaman Sea. Waves and winds in the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea will weaken, with wave heights of 1–2 meters in the lower Gulf and offshore Andaman Sea. In areas with thunderstorms, waves may exceed 2 meters.
