Italian-Thai Clarifies to Stock Exchange: Two Contracts Not Yet Cancelled Despite PMs Order Amid Crane Collapse Incident

Italian-Thai Development clarified to the Stock Exchange that the two contracts for the giant crane collapse projects have not been cancelled, despite orders from Prime Minister Anutin. The company affirmed that both contracts remain in force and it continues to perform according to them.


On 16 Jan 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that the Corporate Services Department of Italian-Thai Development Public Company Limited issued a statement to the Stock Exchange of Thailand. It addressed rumors that Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul had ordered the cancellation of two contracts of Italian-Thai related to the crane collapse incidents affecting passenger trains and Rama 2.

The company explained that both contracts remain valid and in effect, and it continues to comply with the contractual obligations. Any further progress will be reported to the Stock Exchange accordingly.
