A car caught fire on the expressway at Witthayu Road in the Lumphini subdistrict. The driver managed to escape in time. After the fire was extinguished, the car was found completely damaged.
On the morning of 18 Jan 2026, emergency hotline 199 received a report of a car fire near Wan Bangkok on Witthayu Road, Lumphini subdistrict, Pathumwan district, Bangkok. Firefighters and rescue personnel from Bon Kai station promptly responded with one fire truck.
At the scene, a black car with Samut Sakhon license plates was ablaze. Officials quickly sprayed water for about 10 minutes until the fire was extinguished. The car was completely destroyed, with no injuries or fatalities reported.
Authorities are currently conducting further investigations to determine the cause of the fire.
