On 20 January 2026, the websiteof the Royal Thai Government Gazettepublished the Prime Minister's Office announcement titled “Appointment of Professors,” stating that a royal decree has appointed university and institute staff affiliated with Khon Kaen University, Kasetsart University, Chulalongkorn University, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Chiang Mai University, and Thammasat University to serve as professors in various fields from the date they fully met the qualifications, totaling eight individuals as follows:
Khon Kaen University
1. Associate Professor Chawi Yenjai, affiliated with the Faculty of Science at Khon Kaen University, has been appointed as Professor in Organic Chemistry within the Faculty of Science at Khon Kaen University, effective 20 December 2018.
Kasetsart University
2. Associate Professor Jirasak Wongekbutr, affiliated with the Faculty of Science at Kasetsart University, has been appointed as Professor in Physics within the Faculty of Science at Kasetsart University, effective 19 November 2021.
3. Associate Professor Sakorn Kunwutritthiron, affiliated with the Faculty of Agriculture at Kasetsart University, has been appointed as Professor in Animal Breeding within the Faculty of Agriculture at Kasetsart University, effective 4 February 2022.
Chulalongkorn University
4. Associate Professor Prasert Rieabroijaroen, affiliated with the Faculty of Science at Chulalongkorn University, has been appointed as Professor in Chemical Engineering within the Faculty of Science at Chulalongkorn University, effective 16 March 2022.
King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang
5. Associate Professor Arpaporn Sakulkaravek, affiliated with the Faculty of Science at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, has been appointed as Professor in Physics within the Faculty of Science at the same institution, effective 9 December 2022.
