On 22 Jan 2026 GMT+7, reporters noted that a helicopter made an emergency landing in a field behind a village in Ayutthaya, causing local residents to rush over. Officials initially reported a rotor malfunction, with repairs taking about 20 minutes before the helicopter resumed flight, as previously reported.
Later, the Facebook page of the "Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation Department" posted a statement regarding the helicopter's emergency landing in a field in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The department clarified that the helicopter was conducting a test flight after maintenance. During the flight, an abnormal noise was detected near the rotor, leading to an immediate emergency landing for inspection.
Officials spent about 10 minutes inspecting and performing maintenance before the aircraft safely returned to its operational base at Khlong Luang Airport in Pathum Thani Province. No injuries or damages were reported.
