
More than 20 foreign military attachés from over 10 countries visited the clash site at Phu Ma Oi Daeng to receive briefings on the Thai-Cambodian clashes that occurred between 8–27 December 2025.
On 22 January 2026, over 20 foreign military attachés from more than 10 countries visited the clash site at Phu Ma Oi Daeng within Khao Phra Wihan National Park, Kantharalak district, Si Sa Ket province, to receive briefings on the clashes between Thai and Cambodian troops that occurred between 8–27 December 2025.
Lieutenant Colonel Samart Kaewsivai, commander of the 2nd Infantry Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment, provided a summary of the combat situation and explained the terrain on the Cambodian side, noting that the Prasat Phra Wihan temple area was used as a military base and a continuous point for artillery fire against Thai positions.
The clashes resulted in 3 Thai soldiers killed and over 100 injured. Additionally, 2 civilians died and 6 others were wounded due to explosions and artillery shells landing in community areas.
After the briefing, the military attachés inspected damage to homes in Nong Mek village, Saothongchai subdistrict, Kantharalak district, which were hit by artillery shells causing damage to several houses, to understand the impact on civilians from the Thai-Cambodian border clashes.
