Professor Jaturong Reveals Details of Lawyer Kaew Negotiations: Two Rounds Without Agreement, Denies Childs Father Demanded Money

Professor Jaturong, a religious scholar, revealed details regarding 'Lawyer Kaew,' acknowledging that he once posted about the matter but deleted it fearing a lawsuit. He pointed out that two rounds of negotiations have taken place without resolution and confirmed that the father of the 18-year-old girl did not demand money.

On 22 January 2025 GMT+7, in the latest update on the 'Lawyer Kaew' case, our team spoke with Mr. Jaturong Jongasa, an independent scholar of Buddhism. He disclosed details, saying he became aware of the matter after Khun Noom Kanchai received information from 'Ben Apache,' since the child's father's lawyer is the same as his own, as well as the lawyers for Professor Trin and Ben Apache, which brought the issue to his attention.

Initially, he posted a message on his personal social media on 27 December 2025 GMT+7 but later deleted it because Lawyer Kaew called and asked him to remove it. He feared legal action and, at that time, had no support, making him feel singled out and attacked alone.

Mr. Jaturong added that since 27 December, just one day after Khun Noom Kanchai learned of the matter, he faced intense pressure because all involved parties are lawyers, while he is not. He admitted feeling very stressed and even wanted to cry.

Khun Noom and Ben Apache both learned of the case on 26 December. Regarding his earlier post, he confirmed it was merely a prayer hoping the issue would remain a rumor. He did not name any lawyer but only referred to a nationally renowned lawyer. Subsequently, Lawyer Kaew called to clarify that he did not act as accused, which convinced Mr. Jaturong that his suspicions were likely true.

As a mediator between Lawyer Kaew and the child's father, Mr. Jaturong observed discrepancies between their accounts. A first round of mediation involved another couple, Khun Jazz and Khun Jang, well-known actors and comedians, sometime before the New Year. Although the exact date is unknown, the talks failed to reach an agreement during that period.

The second round was supposed to be mediated again by Khun Jazz and Khun Jang, but as they were traveling abroad, Mr. Jaturong arranged the mediation at a popular café in the Wang Hin area on 16 January 2025 GMT+7 from 17:30 to 20:30. Attendees included himself, Lawyer Kaew, the child's father, and the father's personal lawyer. The three-hour negotiation initially seemed promising but ended in disagreement and separation without resolution.

Regarding rumors that the child's father demanded compensation, Mr. Jaturong confirmed this was not true. Two sets of mediators were involved. The figure of 5 to 10 million baht circulating on a popular page was not the family's demand but an amount suggested by Khun Jang during mediation to propose to Lawyer Kaew, implying that payment within that range could end the matter amicably since neither side had legal evidence to contest. Lawyer Kaew's offer was 2.5 million baht.

Mr. Jaturong explained that the child's father's actions stemmed from both love and resentment. He deeply respects and trusts Lawyer Kaew, going so far as to provide free suits multiple times and support with clothing at no cost. The incident caused significant stress to Lawyer Kaew.

Regarding the latest negotiation terms, Mr. Jaturong said they included Lawyer Kaew agreeing to refrain from TV appearances and simultaneously providing financial compensation. He viewed this as pressure on Lawyer Kaew. Before the 72-hour window when the drama broke, Mr. Jaturong called Lawyer Kaew to ask if the child's father would accept 5 million baht, noting the father is not poor but apparently wanted to pressure Lawyer Kaew psychologically to withdraw or borrow money.

Meanwhile, Lawyer Kaew's continued appearances on programs such as the pre-recorded 'Hon Krasae' show and some online media affected the child's mental state, leading to depression.

Mr. Jaturong revealed that he called Khun Noom Kanchai to suggest that if they wanted to end the negotiations, Lawyer Kaew should stop appearing on 'Hon Krasae' to avoid worsening the child's father's feelings. He confirmed the entire process was consensual negotiation, not an investigation.

From a legal battle perspective, Mr. Jaturong noted that excluding the child's or Lawyer Kaew's status as the defendant, the legal strategies of Lawyer Kaew and the child's father's lawyer differ. Lawyer Kaew focuses on the child's age, statute of limitations, and consent, which the opposing counsel must prepare to counter.

Mr. Jaturong also observed that as a senior member of the Lawyers Council, Lawyer Kaew likely feels stressed by the situation, as do his clients, due to inconsistent facts from both sides. The case currently lacks crucial evidence. On the child's father's side, some chats were deleted, so it is unclear if that evidence exists.

Meanwhile, Lawyer Kaew travels in a luxury car equipped with CCTV, which should help prove his innocence. However, no clear details have emerged from either side yet.

Thus, only conflicting statements remain. If clear evidence appears, the situation should resolve, ultimately ending in court. Mr. Jaturong emphasized he is not defending Lawyer Kaew but wants all parties to end the conflict without further damage to families, businesses, or the victim's reputation.
