Residents of Bo Rai smile as the second round of migrant relief funds are gradually deposited into accounts on the first day. Many travel to BAAC to update passbooks, check balances, and withdraw money for spending, expressing thanks to the government for helping alleviate the people's hardships.
On 23 Jan 2026 GMT+7, reporters noted that residents in Bo Rai district, Trat province, began to breathe easier after the second round of relief payments for those affected by border clashes were gradually deposited into BAAC bank accounts this afternoon. Although the area was not directly involved in the fighting, it remains a border-risk zone where gunfire was also heard.
Upon learning about the afternoon deposits, many residents came to the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) Bo Rai branch—the only BAAC branch in the district—to update their passbooks and check their balances. Due to the large crowd, bank staff issued announcements detailing the relief fund receipt process to ensure smooth and efficient service.
When interviewed, locals in Bo Rai district unanimously expressed their happiness at receiving the relief funds from the migration incident, noting that their previous funds had been exhausted. They said the 5,000 baht received today would help sustain them in many ways, and they thanked the government for providing financial aid to ease their difficulties.
Mr. Seree Samranjit, mayor of Bo Ploy subdistrict, announced that residents who have not yet registered or whose names were missed can still do so immediately. They should take a photo in front of their homes along with a photo of the village headman and submit these documents to the Bo Ploy municipality's disaster prevention department to receive full relief benefits.
