18-Year-Old Woman Gives Police Statement No Warrant Issued Yet for Lawyer Kaew Amid Ongoing Consideration

An 18-year-old student and her mother have already given statements to police and submitted a request to enter the witness protection program. Initially, no warrant has been issued for Lawyer Kaew, as the matter is still under procedural consideration.

The case involves "Lawyer Kaew," or Mr. Montchai Jongkairatnakul, who has been accused of molesting an 18-year-old female student who is the daughter of a close associate. Lawyer Kaew held a press conference admitting that he hugged, kissed, and embraced the student inside a car, but denied touching private parts as reported. He subsequently submitted a resignation letter from his position in the Lawyers Council. Meanwhile, Pol. Lt. Gen. Siam Boonsom, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, visited Wang Thonglang Police Station to receive an update from investigators after the victim's guardian filed a complaint to pursue legal action against Lawyer Kaew for molestation, as previously reported.

The latest update: At 10:00 a.m. on 26 Jan 2026, Pol. Col. Jetsada Yangnok, Superintendent of Wang Thonglang Police Station, disclosed the progress of the case involving the 18-year-old woman filing a complaint against Dr. Montchai Jongkairatnakul, or Lawyer Kaew. The victim and her mother have come forward to provide statements, which have been completed. They are currently in the process of rights protection after the victim submitted a request to enter the witness protection program. Investigators will now gather detailed evidence and interview relevant witnesses. So far, no warrant has been issued for Lawyer Kaew, as the case remains under consideration.
