Dramatic Moment: 22-Year-Old Man Crashes Sedan into Multiple Motorcycles Before Losing Control and Flipping on Road Median

CCTV footage moment "22-year-old man" under the influence of drugs, driving a sedan that clipped several motorcycles before losing control and crashing onto the road median, causing the car to flip over.

At 11:50 a.m. on 27 Jan 2026, the radio center of Muang Phrae Police Station received a report of a gray bronze sedan with license plate Kong 1089 Phrae driving recklessly and hitting multiple motorcycles. The incident occurred on Phuket Road, Klong Thom, in front of Mark Four Phrae mall, and the driver fled via Rat Uthit Road toward the Phrae Provincial Administrative Organization.

Upon receiving the report, Police Lieutenant Colonel Phisit Chai Kiewkaew, traffic officer at Muang Phrae Police Station, led traffic officers to patrol the route the car fled and coordinated with emergency medical and rescue services to assist the injured from the collision. Later, the Phrae Provincial Administrative Organization's Ranet Radio Center reported a car rollover accident in front of the Michelin Center in Muang Mo Subdistrict, Muang Phrae District, believed to be the same vehicle involved. Officers promptly proceeded to the scene.

At the scene, the sedan with license plate Kong 1089 Phrae was found overturned after losing control, crossing the median, and hitting a damaged railway traffic light pole warning of construction. The front of the car was badly damaged. The driver was identified as Mr. Jon Nam, 22, a resident of Sabu village, Muang Mo Subdistrict, Muang Phrae District. He appeared dazed and confused from drug use, unable to recall or identify who he had hit. He was taken into custody before police investigators arrived to inspect the scene.

A bystander reported seeing the car driving through Phrae city, clipping several motorcycles. The witness followed and alerted police, noting the car sped from the city into Sabu village, then onto the southbound bypass road. At the accident site, the car lost control, ran onto the median, and flipped over. Fortunately, no one was injured or killed, including the driver.

Police stated that the driver has a history of drug involvement and had undergone rehabilitation in Chiang Mai Province before recently returning home. However, he likely continued using drugs, leading to this incident. Investigators took him into custody for questioning, removed the obstructing vehicle, and will proceed with legal action.
