On 29 January 2026, Game Phongpol Temi, candidate for Member of Parliament in Bangkok's 7th district Dusit-Bangsue from the Democrat Party, visited the community waterways to check conditions after residents reported trash accumulating in the canal and noted that some pier posts were leaning, potentially endangering commuters and local residents.
Game Phongpol stated that this visit was to personally verify the facts and listen to feedback from residents who regularly use the waterways. He observed that in some areas, trash had accumulated, obstructing water flow, and some pier posts were leaning and sinking, requiring urgent structural inspection.
Additionally, Game Phongpol coordinated with relevant agencies to expedite inspection and problem resolution, emphasizing that public safety must come first, especially in waterways that serve as transportation routes and are integral to community life.
"Small problems, if left unaddressed, could lead to major accidents. I will continue to follow up on this issue to ensure our area is safer and more livable," said Game Phongpol.
