A woman recounted being secretly filmed by a lawyer in a gas station restroom in Bang Saen. After catching him, she looked at his phone and found many more victims. She insisted the police take full legal action and revoke his license to practice law.
A Facebook user, a woman with a pleasant appearance, posted that she was secretly photographed in a gas station restroom in Bang Saen. The perpetrator was caught, and upon checking his phone, many other victims were found. It was also discovered that the perpetrator is a lawyer with a lawyer ID card. After the incident, she filed a complaint at Chonburi Police Station but feared injustice because the perpetrator was released on bail.
Later, reporters met with Ms. B (alias), 25, the victim, who came to meet investigators and submitted remaining evidence for them to keep to proceed with the case against the perpetrator.
Ms. B said that on the night of the incident, she and friends were visiting Bang Saen and were returning to their accommodation. They stopped at a gas station on Khao Lam Road for personal reasons. While using the restroom, she noticed a strange shadow on the floor that did not look like a woman—short hair moving the head but no legs were visible. Feeling suspicious, she quickly put on her pants and left the restroom.
As she exited, she recorded a video in case someone was coming out, but saw no one. She then told her boyfriend that someone was in the adjacent restroom who seemed male. They waited outside to see if anyone would come out. Soon, a man exited, and they quickly grabbed him and asked why he was inside. He said he entered the wrong restroom. She asked to see his phone, but he refused. When she said she had brought police, he offered to delete images, admitting he had taken photos. A struggle over the phone ensued. Upon checking, they found photos of her—she was the last case, but he had been filming from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. A search of the perpetrator found a lawyer ID card; his car was full of lawyer attire and documents. The perpetrator also admitted to following and filming students at a private university.
Ms. B added that many women have contacted her claiming to have been victimized by the same man, thanking her for courageously revealing the issue. Some victims had filed complaints but the suspect could not be caught due to lack of CCTV footage. The perpetrator’s girlfriend confirmed he had behaved this way before and had been arrested once, but police found no record. Ms. B wants the perpetrator expelled from the Lawyers Council because someone who commits such offenses should not practice law.
Reporters further noted that this morning, the secretary of the Lawyers Council met with investigators to request the name of the suspect who is a lawyer. If wrongdoing is confirmed, the lawyer will face disbarment procedures.
