Warning for 3 Provinces to Prepare for the 2026 Summer: Temperatures Expected to Exceed 42°C

The Meteorological Department warns three provinces to prepare for the 2026 summer season as temperatures soar, expected to exceed 42 degrees Celsius. The 2026 summer is forecasted to begin in late February.

On 3 Feb 2026 GMT+7, the Facebook pageof the Meteorological Departmentwarned three provinces to prepare for the 2026 summer season, with high temperatures predicted to possibly surpass 42 degrees Celsius, including Mae Hong Son, Lampang, and Tak provinces.

Regarding the 2026 summer, the Meteorological Department forecasts it will start in late February and end around mid-May, with temperatures expected to be hotter than in 2025.

The average maximum temperature in upper Thailand is projected at 36-37 degrees Celsius, while total rainfall is expected to be 30-40 percent below normal.
