Cruel Person Shoots Dog, Stuffed into Fertilizer Bag and Abandoned by Roadside Lucky Postal Worker Rescues in Time

A cruel person shot a dog with a dart, stuffed it into a fertilizer bag, and abandoned it in a roadside forest hoping it would die. Fortunately, a young postal worker came across it in time and rescued the dog, rushing it to a veterinarian.

On 3 February 2026, reporters received a report that volunteers from the Bueng Sam Phan group were alerted by a postal worker who found a brown dog cruelly stuffed into a fertilizer bag and abandoned by the roadside. The dog had been shot with a dart that pierced through the front thigh nearly reaching its neck, crying out in pain in a bamboo forest beside the road in Village 17, Bueng Sam Phan Subdistrict, Bueng Sam Phan District, Phetchabun Province. The volunteers promptly went to provide assistance.

The dog was quickly loaded into a vehicle and taken to a veterinarian for emergency care. Currently, the dog is awaiting surgery, with its condition stable.

When interviewed, 29-year-old Thianchai Saemphet, a postal worker in Bueng Sam Phan who found the dog, said that while riding his motorcycle delivering documents, he heard a dog’s painful cries in the nearby bamboo forest. He stopped and found a fertilizer bag tied shut. Upon untying it, he discovered the dog with a dart lodged in its leg. He immediately called Sergeant Khaek, a volunteer from the Bueng Sam Phan group, to request help and arrange to take the dog to a veterinarian.

Thianchai Saemphet also said that the moment he saw the dog with the dart in its leg, he was deeply saddened and even cried because he felt so sorry for it. He added that if the dog recovers, he plans to adopt it himself.
