
Police Major General Phasavee Ruangphu, Chief of Kanchanaburi Provincial Police, visited police stations in Electoral District 5 to check their readiness and strictly ordered police officers to maintain political neutrality during the parliamentary election period. He also reviewed the progress of the investigation concerning the leaked audio clip involving a well-known politician.
On 3 February 2026, Police Major General Phasavee Ruangphu, Chief of Kanchanaburi Provincial Police, along with Police Colonel Thanakorn Rodruang, Deputy Chief of the Operations Division, Region 7, assigned to Kanchanaburi, and the head of the security and order control team for the parliamentary elections and referendum in all five electoral districts of Kanchanaburi, visited Thong Pha Phum Police Station. They inspected and strictly instructed officers there to maintain strict political neutrality.
The visit was welcomed by Police Colonel Prinya Krai-Kruan, Superintendent of Thong Pha Phum Police Station, Police Lieutenant Colonel Krityut Noonchukan, Deputy Superintendent of the Investigation Division, and other officers under Thong Pha Phum Police Station. Additionally, they delivered supplies to encourage personnel at the joint checkpoint in front of Vajiralongkorn Dam. They stressed integrated cooperation with military personnel from the Lat Ya Task Force, Surasi Task Force, Border Patrol Police Unit 135, and local administrative officers to vigilantly monitor, prevent, and suppress criminal networks, firearms, narcotics, and illegal foreign labor smuggling into Thailand.
Subsequently, Police Major General Phasavee Ruangphu traveled to Sangkhla Buri Police Station to review case files regarding a parliamentary candidate from Kanchanaburi District 5 of the Bhumjaithai Party who reported to investigators. The complaint concerns individuals who disseminated a telephone conversation audio clip involving a local politician on social media, which recently attracted nationwide attention. Police Colonel Santi Pitaksakul, Superintendent of Sangkhla Buri Police Station, welcomed the visit and led the review of the case files.
