In Rayong, Lawyer Paisan became furious as his candidate introduction posters for the MP election went missing from the boards twice in a row, declaring, “The mischievous wind seems intentionally to blow away only number 4; the other numbers remain fully intact.”,
On 3 Feb 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that at polling stations 1 and 2 inside the Health Park Stadium in Thap Ma Subdistrict, Mueang District, Rayong Province, two candidate introduction posters had fallen off the boards.
The missing posters belonged to Lawyer Paisan Ruangrit, candidate for MP of Rayong Constituency 1 from the Democrat Party, while posters of other party candidates remained normally on the boards.
Regarding the missing candidate introduction posters, one was found lying on the ground and the other hidden in a pile of leaf litter beside the polling station wall.
Lawyer Paisan Ruangrit stated, “Today, while campaigning at a funeral, some supporters informed me that my candidate introduction posters were missing from the boards at polling stations 1 and 2 in Thap Ma. I came to see for myself. Upon inspection, I found that the boards were securely stapled, other parties’ posters remained intact, but only mine—the Democrat Party’s number 4—was missing. If the wind caused this, it must have been deliberately blowing away only my poster.”
Mr. Buri (last name withheld), 62, a local resident who came to exercise, said, “Two days ago when I came to exercise, I still saw Lawyer Paisan’s candidate introduction poster on the board. Today, upon returning, I realized it was missing.”
However, following this incident, it is necessary to urge the Rayong Provincial Election Commission to promptly replace the missing candidate introduction posters before the general election on Sunday, 8 Feb 2026 GMT+7, to ensure the election proceeds according to the law governing the election of members of the House of Representatives.
