The air quality index from Bangkok's monitoring stations mostly remains at a moderate air quality level.

The Meteorological Department forecasts that Bangkok will have light morning fog and temperatures will rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius.

Health advisory for orange-level air quality: health effects begin to appear.

General public: use protective equipment such as PM2.5 masks every time you go outside. Limit the duration of outdoor activities or strenuous exercise and watch for symptoms like coughing, difficulty breathing, or eye irritation.

At-risk groups: use protective equipment such as PM2.5 masks whenever outdoors. Avoid strenuous outdoor activities or exercise. Follow doctors’ advice and seek medical attention promptly if symptoms occur.

From 5 Feb 2026, ventilation is classified as "weak" with a stable lower atmosphere layer, causing dust accumulation. From 6-13 Feb, ventilation is expected to be "weak to good" with a more open lower atmosphere, stronger winds, and chances of rain between 8-10 Feb. Dust accumulation is expected to decrease. Today, light morning fog and a temperature increase of 1-2 degrees Celsius are forecast.

According to satellite hotspot data from NASA, no abnormal heat spots were detected over Bangkok.

The Environmental Office has coordinated with all relevant agencies to intensify actions under the dust pollution mitigation plan to reduce the severity of the PM2.5 situation and its potential health impacts. They also encourage public participation and cooperation from all sectors.

They urge everyone to change behavior and reduce activities that generate dust to lessen health impacts. The "5 ways to reduce dust—you can do it" are: 1. Regularly clean your home by dusting; 2. Stop burning trash and incense; 3. Plant trees to absorb pollutants and capture dust; 4. Use public transportation; 5. Turn off vehicle engines when parked and maintain engines to prevent excessive smoke emissions.
