
Police from Bang Pakong Station rushed to investigate after a 24-year-old man suddenly died during a live stream. Friends reported noticing abnormal behavior near the end, when he disappeared from the screen and sounds resembling choking were heard.
At 02:00 on 6 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Lt. Col. Somsak Puangsuk, deputy investigator of Bang Pakong Police Station in Chachoengsao Province, along with rescue teams, examined the scene of an unexplained death at a single-story house in Bang Samak Subdistrict, Bang Pakong District. They found Ms. Nuonprang, 46, a friend of the deceased, waiting outside the house.
Inside the house, they found the body of Mr. Weerayut Wongsakha, 24, the homeowner, lying deceased on a sofa in the living room. Live streaming equipment was on a nearby table. No wounds were found on his body. Authorities sent the body for a preliminary autopsy at Bang Pakong Hospital to determine the cause of death.
Ms. Nuonprang said Mr. Weerayut had been live streaming a conversation with friends on social media around 10 p.m. During the stream, he showed abnormal signs before disappearing from the screen. Then, sounds like someone struggling to breathe were heard. After about 30 minutes, he did not return to the live stream and the screen went off. Concerned, she immediately took a car from Ladprao to his house. Upon arrival, she found him lying on the sofa and quickly called rescue services. They confirmed he had died. However, the cause of death awaits official autopsy results.
