Most air quality indices from Bangkok's monitoring stations are at levels beginning to affect health. The Meteorological Department forecasts light fog in the morning with temperatures rising by 1-2 degrees Celsius.

Health recommendations for air quality at the orange level, which begins to affect health:

General public Use protective equipment such as PM2.5 masks whenever going outside. Limit the duration of strenuous outdoor activities or exercise. Monitor for symptoms like coughing, difficulty breathing, or eye irritation.

At-risk groups Use protective equipment such as PM2.5 masks whenever going outside. Avoid strenuous outdoor activities or exercise. Follow medical advice and seek prompt medical attention if symptoms worsen.

Related factors (forecast of weather conditions affecting PM 2.5 levels due to meteorological conditions):

Between 6-13 Feb, ventilation conditions are expected to be "weak/good" with a relatively open atmospheric layer near the surface and strong winds. There is a chance of rain from 8-10 Feb, which should reduce particulate accumulation. Today’s forecast includes light morning fog and a temperature rise of 1-2 degrees Celsius.

Satellite data from NASA monitoring hotspots detected one abnormal heat spot on 5 Feb 2026 at 13:24 in Bang Bon Tai Subdistrict, Bang Bon District, Bangkok. This hotspot is currently being verified.

The Environment Office has coordinated with all relevant agencies to intensify implementation of the dust pollution mitigation plan to reduce the severity of PM 2.5 pollution and its potential health impacts. They also encourage public and sectoral participation to modify behavior and reduce activities that generate dust to lessen health effects.
