Residents of Chonburi have become outraged, gathering to protest the election results for MP in Chonburi Constituency 1, demanding an investigation and a vote recount.
On 9 Feb 2026 GMT+7, it was reported that at the field in front of Mueang District Office, Chonburi Province, opposite the gymnasium in Bang Pla Soi Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chonburi, local residents and students gathered to protest the election results for MP in Chonburi Constituency 1. Many claimed the vote counting lacked transparency and therefore called for a recount.
Subsequently, the Election Commission transported all election results by truck to the front of the Chonburi Provincial Hall. Residents followed, loudly protesting and demanding a recount. There were also requests for additional forces to maintain peace and order.
