Hat Yai residents are invited to donate blood for the director of Patongprathan Keerawat School. He was injured during an armed attack at the school.
On 11 Feb 2026, an armed man attacked Patongprathan Keerawat School in Patong subdistrict, Hat Yai district, Songkhla province, taking an unknown number of students and teachers hostage. The suspect, a man about 18-19 years old, later decided to surrender to the police after abandoning his weapon.(Video released showing the moment the attacker stormed the school, injuring the director and students before surrendering his weapon.)
Recently, the Facebook pageSongkhla Policeposted a message stating"The Songkhla Provincial Police invite kind-hearted individuals to donate blood for Ms. Sasiphat Sinsomros, director of Patongprathan Keerawat School, injured in the shooting incident, currently at Hat Yai Hospital.".
