The atmosphere at the flower market on Valentine's Day was lively, with groups of young people buying roses and ordering rose bouquets to give to their loved ones. Some even ordered bouquets paid for in cash.
On 14 Feb 2026, reports stated that on the previous day (13 Feb) at the flower market in Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province, people and groups of young people flocked to select and buy roses and pre-order bouquets to give to their loved ones for Valentine's Day.
This year, the atmosphere at the flower market was livelier than in previous years because the day coincided with a public holiday. Additionally, the roses that vendors ordered arrived just in time for Valentine’s Day, making rose prices more affordable than in previous years.
Mrs. Plengsri Nakham, owner of Yupin Fresh Flowers, told our news team that this year was busier than ever because there were plenty of roses at reasonable prices. Therefore, many young people came to buy since the prices were affordable, resulting in continuous orders. Her shop offered rose bouquets ranging from small to large, priced at 20, 100, 500, and 1,000 baht.
The largest bouquet was ordered by a customer who used 100-baht banknotes instead of roses—199 roses in total—making it the most expensive bouquet at the shop, costing over 15,000 baht. The shop customizes bouquets based on customers' requests and budgets, accommodating whatever financial capacity they have.
