Tragic Death of 3 Youths in Motorcycle Crash into Tamarind Tree in Nakhon Si Thammarat

Three youths on a motorcycle lost control and crashed into a roadside tamarind tree in Nakhon Si Thammarat, tragically killing three. Locals said they heard the motorcycle speeding before the loud crash.

At 05:45 on 15 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Police Lieutenant Colonel Sucheep Srisuwan, an investigator from Chalermphrakiat Police Station in Nakhon Si Thammarat, along with doctors and staff from the Tai Tek Tung Chalermphrakiat Foundation, arrived to investigate a motorcycle crash into a roadside tree that resulted in three deaths.

At the scene, the three victims were found lying near the tamarind tree. Only one was identified as 17-year-old Tatpong Lueale, from Thong Lam Chiak Subdistrict, Chian Yai District, Nakhon Si Thammarat. The other two victims remain unidentified but are believed to be friends of similar age and from the same village. All three had broken necks with blood from the mouth and nose. About 20 meters away, a black Honda Wave motorcycle registered in Nakhon Si Thammarat was found badly damaged.

Investigations revealed that before the crash, locals heard a motorcycle speeding along the road, then heard a trash bin being hit, followed by a violent collision with a tamarind tree. Initially, locals thought the motorcycle had hit a dog and went to check, only to find the three youths lying motionless under the tree. They called out to them but got no response.

The motorcycle had been thrown near a house fence and was severely damaged. It was reported that the motorcycle had been traveling from Nakhon Si Thammarat city heading back to Chian Yai District when the fatal accident occurred, resulting in the three deaths.

Authorities have not yet determined the exact cause of the accident and are collecting evidence to proceed with legal actions accordingly.
