A severe rainstorm caused a glass wall at a mall in the Khae Rai area to collapse onto customers dining inside, resulting in multiple injuries.
At 19:30 on 17 Feb 2026, reporters reported that a heavy rainstorm in Mueang Nonthaburi District caused a large glass wall at a mall in Khae Rai, Bang Krasor Subdistrict, to fall onto customers dining at tables in the food court, injuring several people. Mall staff quickly took the injured to hospital for treatment.
After the incident, mall staff immediately cordoned off the area to swiftly remove the glass and debris before beginning repairs.
A shop employee said that before the incident, strong wind and rain were blowing hard, then the glass wall collapsed onto the group of dining customers, injuring several people.
Additionally, it was reported that near Soi Prachachuen-Nonthaburi 8, heavy rain caused flooding of about 10-30 centimeters, forcing residents and students to wade through the water to return to their dormitories.
