A Dutch tourist was pleased when investigators at Yannawa Police Station tracked down and returned a luxury Cartier watch valued at 350,000 baht, after it was believed stolen but was found dropped in a condominium.
At 1:00 p.m. on 19 Feb 2026, Pol. Col. Phansa Amornapitak, superintendent of Yannawa Police Station, ordered Pol. Lt. Col. Arthit Chatnukrob, deputy chief of investigation, Pol. Lt. Col. Kittiphat Pongpattanakitja, investigation chief, Pol. Lt. Col. Supakit Khongchuen, investigation chief, and the investigative team to jointly return a Cartier wristwatch valued at approximately 350,000 baht to Mr. HAKAN KASAP, a Dutch national, who had reported the loss of his property.
On 18 Feb, the victim filed a complaint with Yannawa Police Station, reporting that on 17 Feb at about 3:30 p.m., he visited a massage parlor on North Sathorn Road. Before his treatment, he placed personal belongings, including a Cartier wristwatch valued at about 350,000 baht, on a table inside the massage room. After finishing the service, he left the shop. The next morning, around 9:00 a.m. on 18 Feb, he checked his belongings and found the wristwatch was missing.
The Yannawa investigative team reviewed CCTV footage inside the shop and saw the victim placing the watch safely inside his bag; there was no indication anyone else took it. They then continued to examine CCTV footage along his route to his residence at a luxury condominium, where they discovered the watch had been dropped within the condominium area. Investigators returned the wristwatch to the victim.
Mr. Hakan expressed his thanks and praised the work of Pol. Col. Phansa Amornapitak, superintendent of Yannawa Police Station, Pol. Lt. Col. Arthit Chatnukrob, deputy chief of investigation, Pol. Lt. Col. Kittiphat Pongpattanakitja, investigation chief, Pol. Lt. Col. Supakit Khongchuen, investigation chief, and the investigative team for quickly recovering his property.
