Nong Gles Mother Joyful to Receive Insurance Money for Merit-Making, Leaves Compensation to Court Decision

"Nong Gle's mother" She tearfully expressed joy at receiving insurance money to make merit for her daughter, while leaving compensation matters to follow the justice process.

The case involves Nong Gle, a 7-year-old girl, who was fatally struck by a car driven by Ms. Kanokwan, a 32-year-old civil servant teacher from Nakhon Ratchasima. The incident occurred at 8:00 a.m. on 22 Jan 2026, just days before Nong Gle’s birthday, as she was crossing a zebra crossing in front of the school.

Most recently, on 21 Feb 2026, Nong Gle’s mother lit incense in front of her daughter’s photo, crying tears of joy as she said: "I now have money to make merit for Nong Gle." This followed when staff from two insurance companies brought documents for Nong Gle’s mother to sign, processing a payout of 500,000 baht from each company, totaling 1,000,000 baht. The money will be deposited into her account within 7 days after signing.

Nong Gle’s mother revealed, "I feel relieved now after appearing on the 'Hon Krasae' program, because we finally have answers and a way forward for our family. Regarding the unresolved compensation, we will let the justice process proceed and allow the court to determine how much additional compensation Nong Gle should receive."

Meanwhile, Mr. Thongluan Promchantra, 48, Nong Gle’s grandfather, said he feels more at ease as everything has been settled. They will leave compensation disputes to the court, whether it takes time or not, and have no intention of being harsh toward the teacher. They are willing to talk.
