Meteorological Department Announcement"Summer Storm"Bulletin No. 3 for upper Thailand warns that from 23–25 Feb 2026, thunderstorms, strong gusty winds, hail, and heavy rain in some areas should be monitored.

On 22 Feb 2026, the websiteMeteorological Departmentissued Summer Storm Bulletin No. 3 for upper Thailand, stating that from 23–25 Feb 2026, summer storms will occur starting in the Northeast region. The North, Central, Bangkok including its vicinity, and the East will be affected subsequently.

There will be thunderstorms, strong gusty winds, hail, and heavy rain in some areas, along with possible lightning in some places. This is due to a high-pressure area or cold air mass from China moving over the Northeast and South China Sea, causing southerly and southeasterly winds over the Northeast, Central, East regions and the Gulf of Thailand. Additionally, westerly wind waves are passing through the North and Northeast while upper Thailand experiences hot weather.

People in these areas are advised to beware of dangers from summer storms by avoiding open spaces, staying away from large trees, unstable structures, and weak advertising signs. Farmers should reinforce fruit trees and prepare to protect agricultural products and livestock from potential damage, as well as take care of their health during changing weather conditions.

The public is urged to follow announcements from the Meteorological Department and can track updates on its website.http://www.tmd.go.thor call 0-2399-4012-13 and 1182, available 24 hours.
