Tragic Accident: Man Driving Pickup with Relatives Loses Control, Falls into Canal, 3 Dead, 10-Year-Old Survives

A tragic accident occurred when a 29-year-old man driving a pickup truck with relatives lost control and fell into a canal, resulting in three deaths. A 10-year-old child survived.

At approximately 14:45 on 22 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Police Lieutenant Colonel Nathakorn Dechokitchawat, Deputy Investigator at Dermbang Nangbuat Police Station in Suphan Buri province, received a report of a vehicle that had fallen into a canal along road 3032 Dermbang Nangbuat - Sing Buri, at Ban Bang Krapon, Moo 2, Nangbuat Subdistrict, Dermbang Nangbuat District. He, along with the Samekan Suphanburi Rescue Foundation, promptly went to inspect the scene.

Upon arrival, they found a bronze-gold Isuzu D-Max pickup truck, registered in Suphan Buri, fully submerged in the canal. A good Samaritan had already rescued one injured person, a 10-year-old girl named Natchaya. She was rushed to Dermbang Nangbuat Hospital. The girl said there were three more people still inside the vehicle. The Samekan Suphanburi Rescue Foundation then urgently went to assist, pulling the trapped individuals from the vehicle and performing CPR. Unfortunately, there were no vital signs. The three deceased were later identified as Mr. Sakon, 29, the driver; Mr. Peeraphong, 23, a local from Moo 2, Nangbuat Subdistrict; and Ms. Supansa, 17, from Wang Luk, Sam Chuk District.

Initially, it was understood that all victims were relatives. Before the incident, they had gone out to buy goods, driving along the canal road, which is a dirt path. Suddenly, the vehicle lost control and fell into the canal. Locals witnessed the event and managed to rescue one person by jumping into the water, but the other three died. Police will continue investigating and proceed according to legal protocols.
