Royal Gazette Announces Kings Granting of Ecclesiastical Titles to Three Monks

The Royal Gazette published a proclamation that the King has graciously granted royal ecclesiastical titles to three monks.

A reporter stated that the Royal Gazette website published a proclamation granting royal ecclesiastical titles, stating that His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun has graciously issued a royal command to confer ecclesiastical ranks on three monks as follows.

1. Phra Watcharawitthayakhom is appointed as Phra Thep Watcharawitthayakhom Udomthammathit Sasana Kitjathorn Mahakanisorn Bowornsangharam Khamwasi, holding the Thep rank of the royal clergy, residing at Wat Tha Sa Baeng, Roi Et Province. His rank includes five subordinate titles: Phra Khrupalat (1), Phra Khravinai Thon (1), Phra Khrasangharak (1), Phra Khrasumu (1), and Phra Khrabaidika (1).

2. Phra Maha Anan Nimummalo (holding an 8th-level Dhamma examination) is appointed as Phra Ratcha Wachirapanyarangsi Tripitaka Vipusit Mahakanisorn Bowornsangharam Khamwasi, holding the Ratcha rank of the royal clergy, residing at Wat Kasemakhom, Kalasin Province. His rank includes four subordinate titles: Phra Khrupalat (1), Phra Khrasangharak (1), Phra Khrasumu (1), and Phra Khrabaidika (1).

3. Phra Khru Wimonboonkosol of Wat Wimon Niwas, Roi Et Province, is appointed to the Samany rank with the ecclesiastical name Phra Wachirawimon Tham.

These appointments have been effective since 21 February 2026.

The proclamation was issued on 22 February 2026, the 11th year of the current reign.
