Storm Warning No. 4: Check List of Provinces at Risk for Heavy Rainfall Feb 23-25, 2026

Announcement No. 4 warning "Summer Storm" in upper Thailand region; check list of at-risk provinces preparing for impact from"heavy rainfall"during February 23-25.

On February 23, 2026, the websiteof the Meteorological Departmentissued Announcement No. 4 regarding a summer storm in upper Thailand. It stated that from February 23 to 25, 2026, a summer storm will develop in upper Thailand, beginning in the northeast. The North, Central region, Bangkok metropolitan area, and East will be affected subsequently. There will be thunderstorms, strong gusts of wind, hail in some areas, heavy rainfall in places, and occasional lightning strikes in certain locations.

This is due to a high-pressure area or cold air mass moving in from China covering the northeast and South China Sea, causing southerly and southeasterly winds over the northeast, central, eastern regions, and the Gulf of Thailand. Additionally, a westerly wind wave passes over the North and Northeast while upper Thailand remains hot.

Residents in these areas are advised to be cautious of summer storm hazards by avoiding open spaces, large trees, weak structures, and unstable billboards. Farmers should reinforce fruit trees and prepare to protect crops and livestock from potential damage. Also, take care of health during this changing weather period.
