Saraburi Father Reports Clue of Missing 5-Year-Old Daughter, Fears Link to Found Girls Body Abandoned in Forest

A father from Saraburi province reported that his 5-year-old daughter was missing and unreachable after his wife fled the home following an argument. Recently, police summoned him for questioning to examine a possible link to the case of a deceased girl whose right arm was missing, found abandoned in a forest beside the canal road.

On 23 Feb 2026, residents discovered the body of a girl aged 3-5 years abandoned in a forest beside a road in Saraburi. The site was along the canal road, overgrown with tall grass, isolated with no nearby houses or streetlights at night. The girl was found face down, decomposing with maggots present, and her right arm missing. She wore long denim pants, a pink jacket, a diaper, and blue socks. A white towel was found beside the body. It is estimated she had been dead for at least five days. A purple patterned doll-themed mattress was found about three meters from the roadside. Authorities quickly sent the body for autopsy. Initially, no missing child reports had been filed in the area, as previously reported.

Later, reporters were contacted by Mr. Sombun from Saraburi, who said he had argued with his wife, who then fled the home on 18 Feb with their two children: an 8-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl. They left in the evening. He claimed to have reported the case to the police. However, the police did not accept the case, considering it a domestic dispute. They also said he had been unable to contact them and admitted the children had fled because ofan argument and quarrel.

Initially, police summoned Mr. Sombun for questioning and examined the child's body to verify if it was his daughter. Authorities are actively investigating and following up to determine the facts. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
