On the afternoon of 23 Feb, villagers discovered the body of a girl about 3-5 years old abandoned in a forested area along the irrigation canal road between Chainat and Pasak, Village No. 2, Ban Klap Subdistrict, Nong Don District, Saraburi Province. The body was face down, decomposed with maggots present, missing the right arm. She was wearing long jeans, a pink jacket, a diaper, and blue socks. Nearby was a white towel. It is estimated she had been dead for at least five days.
On 24 Feb 2026, reporters learned that in the morning at Nong Don Police Station, Pol. Col. Sirimongkol Sukaparamet, chief of Nong Don Police, along with the investigative team from Nong Don and Saraburi Provincial Police, held an urgent meeting to find clues to identify the girl. They circulated descriptions and evidence found at the scene, including a purple cartoon-printed blanket and the socks worn by the girl. The socks bear a logo linked to an amusement park located in a shopping mall in Saraburi Province. Police have offered a 10,000 baht reward for anyone who can provide information identifying the girl. Tips can be reported to Nong Don Police Station at 036-397181.
Regarding the case, police are awaiting forensic examination results from the forensic experts, who have already collected scientific evidence and DNA samples as a preliminary step.
In a related matter, a man driving a fuel truck reported that his 5-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son went missing from a rental room in Sao Hai District, Saraburi Province, on 20 Feb 2026, along with his wife. Recently, police from Saraburi Provincial Investigation Unit received a call from the mother and the two children confirming they are alive but refused to disclose their location, explaining they want to escape and avoid living with the husband, who has a history of physical abuse.
The preliminary autopsy results from the Institute of Forensic Science in Pathum Thani Province indicate the female child died about one month ago.
