At 07:00 today (24 Feb 2026), the Mittrapap Samakkhi Foundation (Theng Sia Siang Teng) Hat Yai organized the largest and most spectacular Buddha statue procession in Songkhla Province. This is the highlight of the great charitable event, the 2026 Annual Buddha Statue Procession Tradition, held from 16 to 25 February 2026 within the Mittrapap Samakkhi Foundation (Theng Sia Siang Teng) area in Hat Yai and along the Suan Yom Suk Sarangsan Park Road in Hat Yai Municipality.
The procession included 43 shrines from across Songkhla Province, with over 1,000 participants. The grand and magnificent parade featured Buddha statues and sacred deities from various shrines, along with golden dragon and lion dances parading through several streets in central Hat Yai. This allowed locals to worship for good fortune, and international tourists from Malaysia and Singapore visiting Hat Yai this weekend also joined in watching the procession along the route.
