According to reports from the 2nd Army Region, while Thai troops were conducting routine patrols near Phlanhin Padgon in Si Sa Ket province, within the area controlled by the Suranaree Task Force, Cambodian forces fired one 40mm grenade launcher round near the Thai patrol point. The incident did not cause any injuries to Thai personnel.
After the incident, Thai forces responded by firing M79 rounds toward the direction of the incoming fire, following engagement rules, as a warning and for self-protection. This was done to safeguard personnel and the area under responsibility. Additionally, measures were increased to monitor the situation and to maintain heightened caution during ongoing operations.
