A Lao man recounted a dream in which a bob-haired woman came asking for food. The next morning, he found a human skull in a coconut grove and reported it to the police for investigation.
At 10:20 a.m. on 25 Feb 2026 CE, Police Lieutenant Colonel Manot Thipwech, deputy investigator of Bang Lamung Police Station, received a report of human skeletal remains found in a coconut grove along Ban Na Wang - Pong Saket Road near Khao Song Phi Nong, Village No. 5, Takhian Tia Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. Upon receiving the report, he informed his superiors and, together with investigative police, forensic officers from Chonburi Forensic Unit 2, the on-duty doctor from Pattaya Patthamakun Hospital, and rescue workers from Sawang Boriboon Foundation Pattaya, promptly went to inspect the scene.
Upon arrival, they found human bone fragments including one skull, two upper arm bones, one hip bone, and several smaller pieces scattered approximately 40-50 meters apart. The bones are estimated to indicate the person died at least 2-3 months ago. Police and rescue teams searched within a 100-200 meter radius for additional remains but found none. Nearby, about 10 meters from the skull, they found a bag containing 6-7 pieces of women's clothing. Police have not yet confirmed whether these are connected to the skeletal remains.
Mr. Jamkad, 23, a Lao coconut grove worker and the person who found the skeleton, told police that in the morning he was watering newly planted coconut trees when he came across the human skull. At first, he thought it was fake, but upon closer inspection realized it was real, so he quickly ran to inform his employer.
Mr. Jamkad also shared a strange story: the previous night he dreamed of a woman dressed in white with bobbed hair who came and said, “I'm hungry, please give me some food.” She also told him she was 26 years old and very hungry. In the dream, he tried to find food for her. When he woke in the morning and went to work in the grove, he found the human skull, which made him recall the dream and believe the spirit appeared to lead him to the skeleton.
Nearby, about 3 meters from where the upper arm bone was found, a house owner said he saw a dog carrying and chewing on the bone for several days but had not thought much of it until the skull was discovered. He then alerted authorities, who confirmed it was human bone. He admitted he was very shocked and that prior to this, there had been no unusual signs or smell of decay. However, the previous night stray dogs in the area howled loudly throughout the night before the skeleton was found.
Initially, police collected all human bone fragments and sent them for detailed forensic examination at the Police Hospital's forensic institute to identify the individual and determine the cause of death.
Preliminary examination found the skull to be small, resembling a female skull. The scattered distribution of bones is believed by police to result from dogs carrying and gnawing on the remains, as many stray dogs live near the discovery site. Authorities plan to coordinate with investigative teams and local officials to conduct further searches for missing bone fragments.
