The Meteorological Department warns to prepare for heat from 28 February to 3 March 2026, with temperatures continuing to rise and thunderstorms expected in some areas during the afternoon and evening.


25 February 2026The Meteorological Departmentposted a message stating that from 28 February to 3 March 2026, people should prepare for hot weather in the North, Northeast, Central, and Eastern regions. Temperatures will continue to rise, and thunderstorms may occur in some areas during the afternoon and evening.

Regarding the general weather forecast for 25 February to 3 March 2026,

from 26 to 27 February 2026, northern Thailand will see decreased rainfall and rising daytime temperatures due to continued south and southwest winds bringing moisture over northern Thailand. In the South, rainfall will increase because southwest winds cover the Andaman Sea, the South, and the Gulf of Thailand. Waves in the Andaman Sea will be 1 to 2 meters high, rising above 2 meters in areas experiencing thunderstorms.

From 28 February to 3 March 2026, northern Thailand will experience hot weather with thunderstorms in some areas due to low pressure caused by heat and west winds covering the region. In the South, rainfall will decrease as northwest winds prevail over the Andaman Sea, the South, and the Gulf of Thailand. Waves in the Andaman Sea will remain moderate, 1 to 2 meters high, exceeding 2 meters in areas with thunderstorms.
