Saudi Arabias Ministry of Islamic Affairs Hosts Ramadan Program with Iftar and Quran Distribution

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Islamic Affairs has organized a Ramadan program under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, providing iftar meals and distributing Qurans during the month of Ramadan.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of Saudi Arabia, through its Religious Affairs division at the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Thailand, held the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Ramadan program on 23 Feb. This included iftar meals, distribution of premium quality dates, Quran distribution, and sending imams to perform religious duties. The event was presided over by Abdulrahman Al-Suhaibani, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Thailand, and took place at the Intercontinental Hotel in Bangkok.

The event was honored by the presence of Wan Muhammad Nor Matha, former Speaker of the House of Representatives; Arun Boonchom, Chularatchamontri; Amin Mayuso, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives; Police Major General Surin Palale, Secretary-General of the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand; Majed Adduyyan, Head of Religious Affairs at the Saudi Embassy; as well as ambassadors from various Arab countries, and leaders from Thailand’s Islamic councils and associations, all attending in unison.

Abdulrahman Al-Suhaibani, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Thailand, stated that the program was conducted in cooperation with relevant Thai agencies and distributed through the Central Islamic Committee, charitable associations, and mosques under the supervision of the Islamic Affairs Counselor’s Office at the Saudi Embassy. This aligns with the policy of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, which oversees the initiative. He also praised the ongoing support from the Kingdom’s leadership in serving Islam and Muslims worldwide and commended the Ministry’s efforts to bring these programs to Muslim communities in many countries.
