Gold Prices Today: Three Thai Gold Shops Temporarily Halt Gold Sales After Israel-US Attack on Iran

Today, three Thai gold shops—Hua Seng Heng, Mae Thong Suk, and YLG—announced a temporary halt on gold sales following Israel and the US launching attacks on Iran.


Due to the escalating Middle East situation, Israel and the United States have launched attacks on Iran, causing high volatility in gold prices.


Most recently, on 28 Feb 2026, the Facebook pageHSHsocial Hua Seng Hengposted that because of the conflict and the start of attacks between Israel and Iran, gold prices have become highly volatile. Additionally, with foreign gold markets closed over the weekend, there is no clear reference price.

Therefore, the company will temporarily suspend its online trading system and all types of gold bar sales, resuming service on Monday, 2 March 2026.


Meanwhile, the Facebook pageMae Thong Suk Gold Shopposted a notice to customers stating that due to the conflict between Israel and Iran causing significant gold price volatility, and with foreign gold markets closed over the weekend leaving no clear reference price, the shop will close gold bar sales at branch counters on 28 February 2026.

However, services for gold purchasing, pawning, and redemption will continue as usual.



Similarly,YLG Groupposted an announcement informing customers that due to geopolitical tensions causing extreme volatility in global gold prices, the online gold trading system will be temporarily closed during Saturday and Sunday (28 Feb–1 Mar 2026).

As for today's evening gold prices (28 Feb 2026), the closing prices are: gold bars sold at 77,600 baht per baht-weight, and gold ornaments sold at 78,400 baht per baht-weight.
