The event honored and encouraged journalists reflecting the truth to defend human rights. This year, awards were considered in four categories: documentary journalism in print media, documentary journalism in television media, documentary journalism in online video clips, and photography focused on human rights topics.
. The "Seetrue news team from Thairath TV" received a commendation award in the television news scoop category. Their piece titled "Myawaddy Hellhole: The Fate of Human Trafficking Victims" highlighted the behavior of call center scam gangs operating in the Myawaddy area of Myanmar.
Meanwhile, the " Thairath Online" won a commendation award for the clip 'Deceive, Trick, Lure' which exposed call center scam victims suffering within the 'justice system,' reflecting the deceptive tactics used by call center gangs as well.
