On the night of 28 February 2026, Suvarnabhumi Airport (AOT) mobilized staff to assist passengers affected by the unrest between Israel and Iran. Eight airlines were impacted: EL AL Israel Airlines, Air Arabia, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, Gulf Air, Arkia Israel Inland Airlines, and Kuwait Airways. They canceled a total of 16 flights, comprising 14 departures and 2 arrivals.
By the morning of 1 March 2026 at 06:48, World2Fly airline also announced cancellations, bringing the total to 32 flights canceled—16 departures and 16 arrivals. To mitigate the impact and properly care for passengers, AOT stationed staff at information points and provided assistance. Drinking water was distributed to passengers waiting to check in, and sufficient seating areas were prepared. Additional temporary seating was added on the second floor of the arrivals terminal near gates 1 and 10. AOT closely coordinated with airlines to manage flights and support passengers smoothly.
Initially, airlines arranged accommodations for passengers whose flights were canceled as appropriate, preventing any departing passengers from being stranded at the airport.
