"Makro" is staging a major event in Khon Kaen. The "16th Retailers' Market" continues to enhance the capabilities of Thai small retailers while creating opportunities for income and sustainable growth.

Makro, a leading wholesale business under CP Axtra Public Company Limited, reaffirmed its role as a wholesale leader for Thai entrepreneurs by organizing the "16th Retailers' Market" under the concept "Mix & Match: Combining All Generations, Trends, and Profit Creation." Held from 26 February to 1 March 2026 at the Khon Kaen International Convention and Exhibition Center (KICE) on Mittraphap Road in Khon Kaen Province, the event advances its important mission to elevate the potential of Thai small retailers nationwide, focusing on connecting knowledge, business trends, and modern solutions to create opportunities for income and sustainable growth.

Mr. Jesadang Singkhum, Chairman of the 16th Retailers' Market event, said the Retailers' Market was first held in 2008 and has continued annually, marking its 16th edition this year. Over 36 years of standing alongside Thai society, Makro recognizes the importance of the small retail business at the community level, which is a fundamental pillar of the local economy. This event is not just a marketplace but a platform for learning, exchanging experiences, and connecting entrepreneurs with business partners comprehensively.

In the context of rapidly changing society and consumer behavior, especially among the younger generation (New Gen) who value novelty, trends, and shopping experiences, Makro has developed a more modern and targeted event format. It aims to transform the image of the Retailers' Market from a traditional event into a space of opportunity for all generations, inspiring young people to see "small retail" as a viable business option that generates real income and growth.

Inside the "16th Retailers' Market Mix & Match" area (Convention Hall, 10:00 – 20:00), the event is packed with three main Pavilion zones to emphasize its role as a hub for solutions, trends, and business opportunities for small retail operators and aspiring entrepreneurs, also offering full entertainment and lifestyle activities. The activities are divided as follows:

1. Retailers' Market Zone (inside the hall): a hub of solutions and business ideas, open from 10:00 to 20:00. Key highlights include:

  • The Pavilion zone featuring profit-driving products and ideas based on Makro Brand products, presented in a POP MART theme that meets the lifestyle preferences of new-generation consumers.
  • The True Retailer zone gathers all solutions from Makro POS, the smart assistant for small retail stores, showcasing product trends and ideas to fully support the New Retailer New Gen concept.
  • Makro PRO, Thailand's number one e-commerce platform, offering convenient online ordering with fast delivery within 3 hours, celebrating its 3rd anniversary with special activities.
  • A special product fair offering discounted prices from famous brands for all small retailers, suitable for resale with profits or personal use with value.
  • Stage activities are free to attend, including game contests with many prizes and mini concerts featuring famous artists such as KT KRATAE, JETRIN, STAMP, Jak Chawin, and Tar Mister Team. Also featured is the popular online influencer family of the year, Khun Mae-Pimnaree Tantivit (Primaya) and her children Sol and Mone, sharing joyful moments.

2. Mix & Match Festival Zone (outdoor), with activities from 16:00 to 00:00.

  • Adding vibrant nighttime fun at Midnight Station, an international food festival featuring over 50 famous vendors offering street food, grilled dishes, desserts, and beverages from Asia and Europe.
  • A first-time highlight is Snow Ville/Ice Bar, a stylish drink bar inviting everyone to check in and experience the first snowfall atmosphere at KICE Khon Kaen, creating a unique experience in Northeast Thailand.
  • Entertainment is elevated with the Mix & Match T-POP Festival stage, bringing popular artists like Bamm, 4EVE, and ATLAS to deliver full excitement, free throughout the event.
  • Mitmart Heng Heng Heng, a smart small retail model store created by students and winner of the "Mitmart New Gen Challenge 2026" business plan contest from the Faculty of Business Administration at Khon Kaen University, planned, implemented, and tested real sales and profits at the event. On this special occasion, Makro PRO celebrates its 3rd anniversary with the "makro PRO Anniversary: 3 Million Giveaway," offering many prizes including the special makro PRO golden ticket for customers with purchases during the event.
