2 March 2026Meteorological Department websiteannounces "Summer storm over upper Thailand" Effective from 3–6 March 2026, edition 3 (10/2569), it states that a summer storm will occur over upper Thailand during 3–6 March 2026, starting from the eastern part of the Northeast region. Subsequently, the East, Central regions, including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the North will be affected. The storm will feature thunderstorms, strong gusty winds, hail, localized heavy rain, and occasional lightning in some areas.

This is due to a high-pressure system or cold air mass moving from China covering the Northeast and the South China Sea, while upper Thailand experiences hot weather. Additionally, a westerly wind wave will pass over the North and upper Northeast regions.

Residents in these areas are advised to beware of dangers from the summer storm by avoiding open spaces, staying away from large trees, unstable structures, and billboards. Farmers should reinforce fruit trees and prepare to protect crops and livestock from potential damage. People should also take care of their health during this changing weather.
