
Thairath won the 2025 Isara Amantakul Award for Best News Photo with the image titled "Rainbow Over the Democracy Battlefield."
On 5 Mar 2026 GMT+7 at 17:30, The Emerald Hotel on Ratchadaphisek Road hosted the award ceremony for the 2025 Isara Amantakul Awards. The Isara Amantakul Foundation and the Thai Journalists Association announced and presented awards for Best News and Best News Photo from both print and online media. Ms. N. Rinee Ruangnu, president of the Thai Journalists Association, and Mr. Pongsak Phayakwichian, chairman of the Isara Amantakul Foundation, presented plaques and cash prizes.
The Isara Amantakul Award for Best News from print media. Four news entries from three newspapers competed, with the following finalists:
1. "Political History Case: Collusion in the 1967 Senate Election, Tainting the Power Path of the Upper House" (Daily News newspaper).
2. "Exposing the Car Scams Network: Car Fraud for Border Sales" (Thairath newspaper).
3. "Chinese Capital Storm: Model Crippling Thai Business to Prevent an Economic Time Bomb" (Bangkok Business newspaper).
4. "The Disaster at the Office of the Auditor General Building: Exposing Chinese Business Pollution in Thailand" (Bangkok Business newspaper).
Results for the 2025 Isara Amantakul Award for Best News from print media. No entry won the top prize, but one received an Outstanding Award with a plaque and 30,000 baht: "Political History Case: Collusion in the 1967 Senate Election, Tainting the Power Path of the Upper House" (Daily News).
