The body of Nong Kao, 12, great-grandchild of former famous actor Sorapong Chatree, was found after he drowned in front of his friends, amid the deep sorrow of his family.

Most recently, at 21:00 on 7 Mar 2026, reports stated that Ayutthaya rescue units mobilized to search continuously for Nong Kao, 12, great-grandchild of Sorapong Chatree, who drowned and disappeared in the irrigation canal. Family and friends waited anxiously at the scene. After over three hours of searching, authorities finally found the missing boy's body underwater, carried by the current about 250 meters from the incident site.

Upon learning that the body had been found, the group of friends present at the incident ran to see it, shocked and deeply saddened, then broke down crying loudly, unable to come to terms with what had happened.

Meanwhile, Miss Sawitree, the deceased's mother, upon hearing the news and attempting to see her son's body, suffered a severe shock and grief, fainting to the ground. Officials and relatives quickly attended to her care closely. Her eldest daughter and youngest son supported and comforted their mother, who was overwhelmed by sorrow from the loss of her son.

Afterward, officials helped retrieve the body from the water and coordinated with the on-duty doctor and police officers to conduct further examinations according to procedures.
