The Meteorological Department has issued the third summer storm bulletin, listing provinces to prepare for thunderstorms and strong gusty winds, with effects lasting until 13 March 2026.

11 March 2026 GMT+7 Meteorological Department Announcement regarding Summer storm in upper Thailand (effective until 13 March 2026), bulletin number 3.

It states that a summer storm will occur in upper Thailand, beginning in the northern region first. The central region, western part of the northeastern region, eastern region, including Bangkok and its metropolitan area, will be affected next.

The storm will feature thunderstorms, strong gusty winds, hail in some areas, heavy rain in places, and occasional lightning. This is due to westerly wind currents from Myanmar moving over the north, combined with a moderate high-pressure area or cool air mass from China moving over the northeast, east, and South China Sea, while upper Thailand experiences hot weather.
