On 11 March 2026, reporters visited the scene and met Ms. Cha Yen, 41, the restaurant owner, who showed the damaged areas seen in the clip. She revealed that the man, identified as LGBT, gave the reason for his outburst as the restaurant’s fried rice being tasteless. The restaurant is willing to address the issue, but the man has no right to cause destruction. As the owner, she must take legal action to protect employees and deter future incidents.
Meanwhile, Ms. Ann, 21, a restaurant employee, said the incident started when the customer ordered fried rice and criticized its taste. The customer then called the server over to taste it, tipping the server to coax them into saying the fried rice was bad. The staff called the owner, who spoke with the customer by phone and accepted the criticism, promising improvement and asking the customer to lower their voice. When the customer remained dissatisfied, the disturbance occurred as shown in the clip. Ms. Ann was injured by glass shards on her arm. After the incident, the customer left 2,000 baht.
